about dimitre
Dimitre Horton is a soulful singer, songwriter, worshiper, husband, and father whose life has been deeply shaped by his love for God, music, and family.
Music has been a part of Dimitre’s life for as long as he can remember. Growing up in Rochester, NY, he was surrounded by both music and ministry. His mother, Cassie, has spent decades singing in choirs, while his father, Chris, has played the organ for more than 50 years. From that foundation, Dimitre discovered his own musical voice. At 14, he began playing drums, eventually serving in churches, concerts, and studio sessions while developing his gift as a vocalist and songwriter.
For Dimitre, music is more than a performance—it is a reflection of his faith, his experiences, and the people and moments that have shaped him. His songs explore grace, love, hope, struggle, redemption, and the faithfulness of God. Through every lyric and melody, he seeks to create something honest and meaningful—music that encourages the heart, speaks to real-life experiences, and draws listeners closer to God.
Today, Dimitre’s greatest treasures are not found on a stage. He is a devoted husband and proud father of two sons, and his family remains one of the greatest expressions of God’s goodness in his life. They are part of the story behind the music and a constant reminder that life, love, faith, and legacy matter far beyond what happens in a recording studio or on a platform.
Dimitre’s music is an extension of his heart. His hope is simple: that through every lyric, melody, harmony, and beat, people would hear something that points them back to God. Whether he is singing about worship, love, life, or the journey of faith, Dimitre wants his music to remind people that God is still good, grace is still real, and there is always hope.
For Dimitre Horton, music is more than what he does.
It is part of who he is.
